How to Get to the Chimur Hot Springs

2. Private hire:

Hiring a safe and reliable private service is a comfortable option. It is recommended that the vehicle be a 4×4 or an off-road motorcycle, which ensures greater safety and comfort during the journey.

3. Public transport:

It is possible to reach the hot springs using shared taxis or minivans in several stages:

  • Cusco → Calca: approximately 5 soles
  • Calca → Amparaes: around 10 soles
  • Amparaes → Chimur: about 10 soles

This option is economical but requires coordination and patience for the transfers.

4. Tour agency:

The most recommended alternative is to hire a tour with an authorized agency, as they include round-trip transport, a professional guide, entrance fees, and sometimes even lunch. This allows you to enjoy the experience without worrying about logistics.
